We are currently supporting our client, a dynamic and internationally active reinsurance company headquartered in Zurich, in the search for a dedicated Underwriting Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to join a growing and highly skilled team with a strong track record in developing meaningful client partnerships. Aufgaben:

The successful candidate will independently manage a wide range of responsibilities that support the underwriting process from end to end. This includes active involvement in the processing and administration of reinsurance acceptances in alignment with internal underwriting and pricing standards. A core part of the role is ensuring accurate and timely administration of portfolio data in the SICS system, from initial entry through ongoing updates and monitoring. The position requires close and continuous interaction with underwriters, claims experts, and the technical accounting team to ensure seamless coordination and high-quality output across departments. Another important aspect of the role is direct communication with clients and brokers regarding contractual documentation. The Underwriting Assistant will also conduct routine data quality reviews using business intelligence tools and ad-hoc reports, helping to maintain transparency, accuracy, and compliance in all administrative processes.

Beyond operational responsibilities, the role provides the opportunity to actively contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at increasing automation and digitalization within the underwriting support function. Candidates with experience or interest in such topics will find a supportive environment for innovation and continuous improvement.

Anforderungen:

The ideal candidate brings a background in commercial training or a similar qualification, along with a minimum of three to five years of relevant experience in underwriting support, reinsurance technical accounting, or a comparable function. Familiarity with reinsurance administration systems, particularly SICS, is highly desirable. A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented work style is essential, especially during peak periods. A proactive mindset and eagerness to share knowledge within the team are strongly valued. Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken, is required for this position. Additional language skills, particularly in French – are a plus.
